Whew! Good News on Dad!

Thank you for the prayers and positive thoughts! They did the test on my Dad and could not find any new blockages or anything that required treatment or surgery! YEA! The original stent is still doing it's job and they think the pain he was experiencing was from that original blockage site. He didn't have to spend the night and is home resting for a few days to let the puncture site heal. I spent a few hours with hims this afternoon and he look great.... tired but doing well. That is a load off my mind and my nerves! Thank you again!

Needing Some Good Thoughts

I am super nervous and I could sure use some good thoughts, positive vibes and prayers if you're so inclined. My Dad is having a procedure done tomorrow to check to see if there is any blockage in his veins. Not quite a year and half ago, he had to have this done and they found a blockage in a tricky and dangerous spot. They were initially unable to get through the blockage to put in a stint so he had to go to another hospital where they succeeded. He has done very well until recently and they are concerned that another blockage is causing his symptoms. If they find anything, they will attempt to place a stent.
I can generally distance my feelings when there is am emergency and I can generally handle blood and things, (with the exception of vomit), except when it is a family member or someone I care deeply about. Tonight, I am nervous and scared. I should be asleep, but I think it's going to be a very long night.......

Review: Green Earth 10 Inch Pan

I received the 10 inch Green Earth Pan by Ozeri to review. I was super excited to get to cook some meat and see how well it perform. I can say it did an outstanding job! These pans are made using Grebulon, a safe ceramic coating from Germany which is 100% PTFE and PFOA free. They are made with heavy-gauge die-cast aluminum and contain no heavy metals or harmful chemicals to leach into your foods. The handle is super comfortable, heat resistant silicone covered.
I first cooked some hamburgers and it was terrific. When it came time to flip them, there was not a single place where the burgers were stuck or needed to be pried loose from the pan.

I next cooked some chicken that I breaded in a flour and cornmeal mixture. I normally have a hard time keeping any kind of coating intact through turning and by the time the meat is done, sometimes the coating has to just be placed on top of the meat. With the Green Earth Pan, it not only stayed where it was supposed to, it cooked up nice and crispy. It tasted great and I was thrilled to not have to scoop up the coating out of the pan! I didn't receive a lid with my pan, but they are available and I would recommend getting one.

Cleaning up these pans is so easy! If there is anything on the surface, I use a little nylon scraper first, but generally hot water and soap has been all I need. I run hot water over it, squirt in some dish soap and wash with my washcloth. That is it. It looks like new when I am done! I have seen a few comments online about people having some trouble with their pans not being non-stick after a few uses. I have not had any problems whatsoever with mine. I was them like I described, I NEVER put my pans in the dishwasher and I never stack anything in them that might scratch the finish. I love these pans and want them to last a good long time!
If you have never used one, you can find the 10" Green Earth Frying Pan on Amazon.com. You can also find other sizes to suit your needs. Once you use one, you'll love it!

I received the Weight Master II for review and it is amazing! This scale is packed with technology to help you track your weight and BMI.
It can weigh up to 440 pounds in increments of 0.2 pounds. You can program up to 8 different profiles so everyone in the family can track their own progress. It is really easy to set you profile and once set, the scale has auto recognition. It will automatically calibrate with StepOn technology and auto powers off to save the battery life. You'll get immediate, flawless result without any complications associated with more expensive units. This scale calculates your BMI (Body Mass Index) to give you a reliable indicator of you fat classification.
Another really cool feature is that it will show you the net change of your current weight from the previous recorded weight as well as the previous 3, 7, and 30 recorded weights. The screen will turn green for weight loss and red for a weight gain so you know right away if your headed in the right direction.

The WeightMaster II features a slip resistant grooved ABS exterior where you stand, covering a tempered glass interior. It is also treated with Microban antimicrobial to disrupt the growth of stain and odor-causing bacteria and to maintain surface cleanliness.

The large light up digital display makes it easy to read and the slim profile is easy to step on and rubber feet keep it stable on the floor. We've been using it for a little more than a week and everyone is getting in the habit of stepping on and checking their weight. And with all the great features, we know at a glance how we're doing. Review: Lightload Towel

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
Here is a neat item to add to your beach bag, emergency kit, in the car, in your tackle box, camping, almost anywhere you might need a towel. It is super compact in the package. I received the LightLoad Beach Towel for the purpose of this review and it only measures about 3 1/2 inches in diameter and 1 inch thick! It opens to 36 x 60 inches! You could toss this in any bag or backpack to keep handy for a multitude of purposes.

It's packed tightly and doesn't come undone until it gets wet.

It started "growing" after I passed it under the sink faucet

After another pass under the running water

The full thing! It isn't a thick, plush bath towel, but it is absorbent and is a handy thing to have, especially in the first aid kit, survival kit or backpack when hiking. It's large enough to wrap around you for warmth, to protect from the sun, wrap up a wound or to dry off after getting caught in the rain. It is truly lightweight at only 5 ounces so it's not going to add cumbersome weight to your bag and the puck will fit almost anywhere. And once it's dry, it is feather light again and can be folded or rolled back up for multiple uses.
They offer these in the following sizes: beach towels 36x60 inch in assorted colors, three pack of 12 x24 inch towels in assorted colors and two pack 12 x12 inch towels in assorted colors.
You can find Lightload Towels on their website or on Amazon!
